After inserting the Viettel SIM card, the flat box can easily being installed anywhere out of sight. The small GPS antenna is best to be placed camouflaged under windshield or rear window using the inside magnet, or the provided double coated foam tape.
Depending on material used in your dashboard, the antenna will also receive well inside it, for instance in the glove compartment. This however should be tested first; in general all GPS antennas do need free view of a part of the sky (despite claims otherwise).

Send any SMS to the telephone number of the SIM card, and the TrackV.07-SMS will send one back, with the current latitude and longitude in degree, minutes and seconds.
This information you copy to free on-line mapping software, like Mapquest, Google Earth and Google Maps, which will give you the exact location.

For street names: Use Google Earth Overlay Maps of Vietnam.

The TrackV.07-SMS is normally in GPS-Off mode. This means it only uses 0.02 A of current, which will pull the battery of a long time parked car empty after only weeks. With the first request for a position, the GPS receiver is turned on, which will take about 80 seconds. In the then GPS-On mode, replies on requests are send directly.
3 days after last request, the device is automatically set to GPS-Off again. A power-backup system is therefore not needed.

SMS codes to remotely activate the device will be issued.

Note: For immobilizer development, a special SMS code will result in a 10 second pulse (CMOS 2.8V) on one of the easy accessible connection points.
